The certification is intended for project managers and individuals in related roles who wish to enhance their skills and credibility as modern-day project managers by integrating AI technologies into their project management practices.
To obtain the AIPMP certification, learners must complete EITHER the Online Course or a Virtual Classroom, and pass the Theory Exam. To pass the Theory Exam, learners must achieve a score above 79%. They will receive the AI-Assisted Project Management – Foundations certificate. They may then book the 1:1 Practitioner Exam, which also has a pass mark above 79%. Upon passing the Practitioner Exam, learners will receive the AIPMP Certification.
The course textbook is the “AI-Assisted Project Management Practitioner Study Guide”, written by Emanuela Giangregorio. It is available on Amazon and other popular platforms.
Learners can choose between attending virtual classroom courses on MS Teams or opting for self-directed learning by completing the Online Course. The Study Guide is also an essential resource.
The virtual classroom course includes various sessions scheduled at different times to accommodate learners in different time zones. The course covers essential AI concepts, ethical considerations, AI-assisted tools, and practical use cases. The fee includes the Theory Exam fee. You will complete the Exam at the end of the course.
Key learning outcomes include understanding AI concepts in project management, recognizing the benefits and challenges of AI integration, identifying AI tools, knowing ethical considerations, applying AI-assisted project management principles, describing use cases, demonstrating how to use AI assistance in project management, and developing a professional career plan in AI project management.
There are two exams: a multiple-choice theory exam (online) and a 1:1 Practitioner exam with an Examiner.
The classroom course covers everything in the Online Course and Study Guide. The Classroom Course is recommended for learners that are less disciplined to self-study and who like a more interactive method of learning. The virtual classroom courses are either a full day or two consecutive half days. Most learners pass the Theory Exam at the end of the course, and then just need to schedule the Practical Exam.
The certification helps you understand and implement AI technologies in project management, making you more proficient in modern project management practices. It can also be accredited for a maximum of 20 CPD units in Project Management, contributing to your continuing professional development. Currently this is the only AI course in project management that provides certification through examination. Obtaining the AIPMP will boost your credibility as a modern day Project Manager.
